Bayeux is the main medieval town on the doorstep of the D-Day landing beaches. We no longer need to introduce the famous Tapestry, a masterpiece of the Middle Ages embroidered to the glory of William the Conqueror and now listed by UNESCO, and the majestic Cathedral proudly dominating the town.
