Located nearby of Camping Le Clos de Balleroy, the Château de Balleroy in Normandy, 25 minutes south of Bayeux, is an architectural gem.
An incredible architecture
Built in 1631 by the famous architect François Mansart (1598-1666) at the request of Jean II de Choisy, Balleroy's Chateau and the village form one of the first urban plans which inspired other chateaus, including Versailles !
Curiosity break: One of the outbuildings houses the balloon museum, which traces the history of gas balloons from the Montgolfier brothers to the present day.

Chateau Tearoom
