Located nearby of Camping Le Clos de Balleroy, the Château de Balleroy in Normandy, 25 minutes south of Bayeux, is an architectural gem.

 

An incredible architecture

Built in 1631 by the famous architect François Mansart (1598-1666) at the request of Jean II de Choisy, Balleroy's Chateau and the village form one of the first urban plans which inspired other chateaus, including Versailles ! 

Curiosity break: One of the outbuildings houses the balloon museum, which traces the history of gas balloons from the Montgolfier brothers to the present day.

The castle and gardens visit

Charm and romance awaits you during your walk in the park and the garden. The rich architecture of the Château de Balleroy is inseparable from the quality of its English park and French garden. Why not stroll in the park following the marked trails and admire remarkable trees ?

Chateau Tearoom

it is a timeless tea room where everything is just sweetness and treats ! Soft colors that exude good humor. The decoration is warm, inside, madeleines, muffins, cakes ... make your mouth water. As soon as summer arrives, discover the terrace with a view of the chateau.
